LYNGVÆRSTUA

The house

LYNGVÆRSTUA - 1820

Lyngværstua an old merchants house and a apart of one of the oldest junction points in Lofotens fishing history. It served as a busy area for trade over 200 years ago as an important merchants & fishing village for the area.
Lyngværstua held the merchants store, the post office and kept the storage of spirits and coffee for the fishermen.
The main room stored the goods and served as sleeping quarters for the workers.
Today it welcomes people from all over the world and functions as a small guesthouse for travellers of Lofoten.

Welcome all who are interested in an historical frame for a cosy and quiet getaway.

What our guests say

This is the only place I will consider staying in Lofoten. Beautiful views, amazing accommodation and so close to Henningsvær for great coffee and brunch etc.
Can’t wait to come back with my paddle board.

The place at the sea is fantastic, the house is very, very charming and well equipped and the sauna at the sea is the great topping. Cecilie was very kind and responded to every question fast. Would love to come again

Cecilie's place is wonderful! We were a group of 10 and we were warmly welcomed and there was space for all. The house is beautiful with interesting history. The location is incredible!

— Michelle

Our stay at Cecille's place was fantastic! We couldn't have asked for a better place for our large group to stay.  She also arranged for us to have a local culinary Chef prepare an exquisite banquet on her Beautiful dekk for my 70th year birthday.

We simply had an awesome stay in Lofoten and Cecilie's house did not make it worse ;)
