Lyngværstua an old merchants house and a apart of one of the oldest junction points in Lofotens fishing history. It served as a busy area for trade over 200 years ago as an important merchants & fishing village for the area.
Lyngværstua held the merchants store, the post office and kept the storage of spirits and coffee for the fishermen.
The main room stored the goods and served as sleeping quarters for the workers.
Today it welcomes people from all over the world and functions as a small guesthouse for travellers of Lofoten.
Welcome all who are interested in an historical frame for a cosy and quiet getaway.
This quiet area will give stillness, time to exhale and good night sleep.
The only sounds are from nature of the houling winds, raining tapping on the roof or the storms making you grateful to be surrounded by solid, timber walls.
Lyngværstua is situated in a beautiful and quiet cove by the sea. The panoramic views from the terrace leaves you feeling calm and and at peace. The little cove is perfect for morning summer dips or a cold plunge after sauna in the winter.
